The Da Aurelio restaurant at Passo Giau is open during the Olympics

Cortina d’Ampezzo will host several competitions during the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Da Aurelio restaurant at Passo Giau will remain open as usual: below is all the useful information you need.

How to arrive to Restaurant Da Aurelio during the Olympics

The Giau Pass is always open on the Colle Santa Lucia – Selva di Cadore side: therefore, it is always possible to reach the restaurant from this side, for lunch and dinner, without any restrictions

Furthermore, it is always possible to arrive from the Falzarego Pass and then from San Cassiano (Alta Badia), both for lunch and dinner, on any date.

From Cortina d’Ampezzo, it is always possible to get to Restaurant Da Aurelio via the Giau Pass after 8 p.m. (so there are never any problems getting here for dinner). The only exception regards February 6th (as specified below).

Special regulations apply to those arriving from Cortina d’Ampezzo for lunch, as indicated below.
